Campaign to Cure AIDS – Pattaya People
On Saturday afternoon on Pattaya Beach Road, Mayor of Pattaya Ittipon Khunploem, accompanied by City councilors, launched a walk to cure AIDS, to mark the occasion of World Aids Day on 1 Dec. Many departments of City Hall joined in the drive to fight this serious disease.
The World Health Organization and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) have designated the 1st of December of every year as World Aids Day, to raise awareness of the HIV/AIDS problem and hopefully solve the problem altogether.
The walk to cure Aids started in front of the Royal Garden Plaza, on Beach Road and finished at Pattaya (https://www.thaibounty.com/countdown-to-christmas-begins-at-bahi-ajman-palace-hotel-with-tree-lighting/) School 8. The participants presented a stage show, a parade contest, a mini concert, a contest for the youngsters and AIDS exhibition. There was also an impressive parade showing the history of AIDS.
